FIELD NOTES FROM A REGENERATIVE FARM: YEARS 01 & 02

Since taking stewardship of Beetlebung Farm in early 2019, we’ve made it our mission to transform this historic family farmstead into an economically sustainable, regenerative farm that would help feed our island community.

In our first year, and now in our second, we’ve been hard at work shaping new beds, planting rows of pollinator-friendly flowers, sowing cover crops, saving seeds and generally striving to improve the ecological health of our farm. We currently grow just over an acre of vegetables in approximately sixty permanent, raised beds and are constantly experimenting with new ways to minimize tillage and refine our practices.

We’ve been taking lots of notes… Join us on our journey and follow along here…
